Cataract is the clouding of the natural lens of the eyes and this leads to clouding of the vision and defective vision. This condition needs surgical removal of the cataract and replacement by intraocular lens.
Cataracts may be present from birth, occur in childhood, or may be senile that is a sign of old age. Sometimes they may occur due to various diseases like diabetes or even by trauma.
